KBC Quiz ("the App," "we," "our," or "us"), developed by App Attitude, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use the KBC Quiz mobile application.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Display Name: You may set a name in the Settings screen (default "Player").
Language Preference: Your preferred app language (English, Hindi, or Gujarati).

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Anonymous User ID: A unique randomly generated identifier assigned on first launch via Firebase Authentication (anonymous sign-in). This ID is not linked to your real identity.
Gameplay Data: Your game statistics including total games played, correct/wrong answers, highest level reached, prize winnings, and per-game answer history.
Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and app version — collected automatically by Firebase and AdMob.
Advertising ID: Google Advertising ID, used by AdMob to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.
App Usage Data: Session duration, screen views, and interaction events — collected by Firebase Analytics if enabled.
Crash Logs: Crash and performance data collected by Firebase Crashlytics (if enabled).

2. How We Use Your Information

To save and sync your game progress, statistics, and language preferences across sessions.
To provide, maintain, and improve the App experience.
To display advertisements through Google AdMob (which may use your advertising ID for ad personalization).
To analyze app usage and diagnose technical issues.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect information from you:

3.1 Firebase (Google LLC)

Firebase Authentication — anonymous user identification
Cloud Firestore — cloud storage of gameplay data and preferences
Firebase Analytics (optional) — app usage analytics
Firebase Crashlytics (optional) — crash reporting

3.2 Google AdMob

Serves banner, interstitial, and native advertisements.
May collect and use your Advertising ID for personalized ads (subject to your device-level ad privacy settings).
May use device information for ad measurement and fraud prevention.

4. Data Retention

Your gameplay data and preferences are stored in Firebase Firestore for as long as you use the App. If you request data deletion (see Section 6), we will remove your data within 30 days. Anonymous analytics and crash data may be retained for up to 14 months by Firebase.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data is shared only with the third-party service providers (Firebase and AdMob) listed above, to the extent necessary for their respective services.

6. Your Data Rights & Deletion

You have the right to:

Access an overview of your stored data by viewing your profile in the App.
Request deletion of all your personal data from our servers.
Opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

7. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for deletion.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit via HTTPS/TLS, Firebase security rules) to protect your data. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
